Materials

70% Isopropyl Rubbing Alcohol (about 4 ounces)

Water (about 4 ounces)

Cotton handkerchief or cloth (Cotton is important; other types of fabric may melt or burn.)

Long metal tongs or a long stick (at least 12 inches / 1 foot long)

Container with a lid

Table salt (a few shakes from a saltshaker)

Spoon to stir in the salt

Lighter

NOTE: If one “fiery handkerchief” is impressive, three will be amazing! You might want to triple these materials to do three simultaneous “fiery handkerchiefs” to represent Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego.
